Well..

After an event filled weekend i managed to bust out of the virgin festival Sat with 9 places to go to the seats. I've always said that Sattalite play is different to anything else. to me it's a matter of just getting to the seats. So with this i played uber tight and managed to pick up kings in late position. The blinds are 75/150 and there has been a couple of flat callers. I raise to 725 and get 1 caller. Now the guy who calls has been playing a lot of hands. i normally can put someone on a range of hands but this guy was impossible to do it with.

Board comes K 10 8 2 diamonds. Now i've flopped top trips, but to be honest i'm scared of what he could be holding, Theres a chance he could have JQ,9J or even Ace rag of diamonds. he pops a bet of 400 into the pot and i instantly move all in.. I think if he's got AK he calls. If he's got any drawing hand i think he folds. he has been muttering about " pot odds to call" " i've got value" ( the latter i cannot stand and the reason why later)

anyhow... he ain't got AK cause he thinks for a minute and folds.. i show KK for trips and he taps the table all good.. i don't want anyone drawing to knock me out

So the chips are passed to me and i get a funny luck from a friend of mine.. " What you playing at" he says " Top trips? All in ????" yeah i agree in normal tourny or cash play it's not the best move.. but Sat play i think it's different. ( i'd enjoy your comments on this if anyones reading"

So taking the comments on board we get down to about 31 player with 22 seats available. i've got about 7.5k in chips with the avg being about 6.5k. I pick up pocket 7's in late pos and i call a raise of about 5xbb. Big blind also calls and we see a flop.

K 7 3 rainbow . Again i've flopped 2nd trips. now after taking on board ( rightly or wrongly ) what was said to me by my friend i check the trips after the initial raiser checks. BB pops a bet in of 1000. inital raise folds and i call slow playing the trip 7's

turn come Q spades which now gives 2 spades on the board. i check and the BB bets 1k again. i move all in for about 4.5k ish, he calls instantly with K2 spades top pair and flush draw. The spade comes on the river and i'm to the rails.

Now it ain't a bad beat, i know that, but personally i think if i push on the flop i take it down then. Just like i did with the kings . i wouldn't have been massive in chips but about 10k with quite a few short stacks on the table

I drove home not very happy with my play.

Well other than that todays the day.. E says my account should be credited by 12 so i'll be on later playing for www.badbeat.com

i'll try and post later to let you know how i'm doing but who's knows whats going to happen.
